International Whale Shark Day!

In 2008 during a World Whale Shark Conference that took place on our area, representatives of more than 40 countries compared studies and research. They set that this day should be dedicated to celebrating Whalesharks, promoting education about them and their conservation in Cancun and all over the world where the Whale Shark Migrations visit for feeding and mating.

En 2008, durante la Conferencia Internacional del Tiburón Ballena, que tuvo lugar en nuestra zona, representantes de más de 40 países compararon estudios e investigaciones. Establecen que este día debe ser dedicado a la celebración de los tiburones ballena, la promoción de la educación de ellos y su conservación en Cancún, en todo el mundo donde las migraciones de Tiburones Ballena visitan para alimentarse y procrear.

We will officialy begin our season on Monday 21st May!  Several sharks have been already spotted by our scouts!

Having researched the patterns from the last few years we expect a fantastic season in 2012.  Last year it began late and we started going out daily in June. This year it looks like it will begin the 3rd week of May.
